Champions League: What Lampard said after Chelsea's dramatic 4-4 draw with Ajax

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has singled his forward Reece Jones for praise, describing him as a "real threat going forward" after they drew 4-4 with Ajax in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge last night.

Lampard also said he is both "relieved" and "disappointed" at the night's events.

He said he was glad his team responded to lift spirits in the second half, adding that "it's a good result on balance."

"We could have won the game, with respect to Ajax. The performances in Lille and Ajax gave us confidence but Valencia will also feel they can qualify," he told post game press conference.

"I've had some mad nights here as a player but that was up there."

Lampard added that it's a "little bit harder" to deal with these nights as a manager. Describes the game as "a mad one."

Lampard said, "A performance like today you need characters when you're 3-1 down. We never gave up. Jorginho had such a cool head. Jones is real threat going forward."

Lampard admitted he's still getting used to VAR, but is mostly delighted by the spirit Chelsea showed in the game.
