Touching: Arsenal star spots boy shivering before Liverpool game and does something remarkable

Arsenal star Hector Bellerin has shown touch of class after offering his jacket to a shivering mascot minutes to the Gunners' Carabao Cup clash against Liverpool.

Liverpool hosted the north London side at Anfield on Wednesday night, October 30, in the fourth round of the competition. The two sides settled for a 5-5 draw after regulation time, before Liverpool beat Arsenal 5-4 on penalties to seal a place in the last eight.

Despite Arsenal fans leaving the match distraught, their captain for the night Hector Bellerin warmed the hearts of many with a touching gesture ahead of kick-off.

This was after a video emerging of the defender offering his track suit jacket to a young mascot designated to him.

The yet to be identified mascot can be seen crossing his arms uncomfortably and feeling the chilly autumnal air as the teams waited to walk out onto the pitch.

It is at this point Bellerin took off his jacket worn by all of the team and handed it to him after exchanging a few words, with the mascot later seen cutting a happy face.

Bellerin was the stand-in captain for Arsenal in place of Granit Xhaka, whose future as the club's skipper remain uncertain after a clash with fans at Emirates Stadium last weekend.
