Juventus give Cristiano Ronaldo special gift to celebrate one major achievement

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 700th career goal in Portugal's Euro 2020 qualifier 2-1 defeat to Ukraine earlier this week.

The 34-year-old became the sixth all time highest goals scorer of all time - with about thirty five more goals to equal German legend's feat Gerd Muller.

Meanwhile, on return to club football this weekend, the Italian League champions gifted Ronaldo a jersey with number of goals he has scored before the game.

But the unstoppable striker repaid their kind gesture with another stunning goal in Juve's 2-1 win over Bologna in the 19th minute of their encounter.

Danilo Larangeira equalised for the visitors in the 26th minute before Miralem Pjanic sealed the win for Maurizio Sarri's men to maintain their leadership on the table.

Apart from Muller, who has 735 goals, Ronaldo is still chasing the likes of Ferenc Puskás (746), Pelé (767), Romário (772) and Josef Bican (805) to become the all time leading goals scorer.

The former Manchester United striker has less than 40 goals for Juve already, compared to the 450 for Real Madrid during his nine year reign at the club.

His goal against Bologna at the Allianz Stadium took his tally to five goals and five assist in all competitions this campaign.

Meanwhile, the Portuguese forward must look over his shoulder as Barcelona star Lionel Messi is just about 30 goals behind his arch rival, having scored a total of 672 goals in his career.
