Nicolas Pepe's team-mate at Lille, Jose Fonte, has hinted that Arsenal is the Ivorian's destination.
The 24-year-old is one of the most sought-after players in this window, with up to four clubs agreeing a fee for him with Lille.
However, in the last few days, Arsenal have jumped to the front of the queue and a transfer is imminent.
Speaking with talkSPORT, Fonte all but confirmed this.
"Pépé has always wanted to play in the Premier League. We used to chat about it. I am excited for him if this move happens. I am sure he will enjoy London, which is a plus.
"He is super quick, he has a left foot which is silky, one vs one he is second to none. He finishes really good, he takes penalties, he takes free kicks, he is a very, very accomplished player and I think Arsenal fans will be in for a treat for sure," he said.
