Man United and Arsenal in serious battle over the signing of top African soccer star

Mario Lemina who plays for Southampton and the Gabonese national team has emerged as a target for Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal.

This comes after the 25-year-old midfielder was left out of the Southampton's pre-season training camp in Austria for him to organize a move.

According to the report on UK Sun, Southampton are prepared to sell the midfielder who has started just four games under Ralph Hasenhuttl.

But they would want their money back on a player they bought from Juventus for £18 million two years ago.

Manchester United are in the market for a central midfielder following the departure of Ander Herrera to Paris Saint-Germain recently.

The Red Devils are now on the verge of losing France international Paul Pogba to either Real Madrid or Juventus after his agent confirmed his imminent departure.

Arsenal on the other hand are yet to replace midfielder Aaron Ramsey who has joined Juventus on a free transfer and want Lemina as replacement.

Meanwhile, these two clubs will have to meet Southampton's asking price for any chance to lure Lemina away from the club.
