OFFICIAL: Manchester United complete Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer from Crystal Palace

Manchester United have completed the signing of Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka after agreeing a deal worth £50million.

The England Under-21 international arrived in Manchester on Wednesday evening ahead of a medical at the club's Carrington training complex.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer identified Wan-Bissaka as a priority transfer target following the departure of club captain Antonio Valencia at the end of last season, while he is said to harbour doubts over Diogo Dalot's readiness to take over as United's first-choice right-back.

United had struggled to agree a fee with Palace but eventually reached a compromise on Tuesday and even managed to maintain the sell-on clause in Wilfried Zaha's contract, which had become a sticking point during negotiationsfor the 21-year-old.

Wan-Bissaka is set for an enormous pay rise, meanwhile, having agreed a long-term deal worth £80,000-a-week and he becomes United's second signing of the summer transfer window following Daniel James' arrival from Swansea earlier this month.

'It's an unbelievable feeling and an honour to call myself a Manchester United player and something I know that only a small number of players have the privilege to say,' Wan-Bissaka told United's official website.

'I can't wait to get going and integrated into the squad.

'I will have a short break now after the European Championships but I'm looking forward to starting training with the manager and my new team-mates on the pre-season tour.'
