Chelsea fans sent a last desperate plea to Eden Hazard begging the forward to stay at the club during the side's clash with Leicester on the final day of the Premier League season.

Real Madrid are expected to make a big-money move for Hazard in the summer transfer window and the 28-year-old has made no secret of his desire to work under Zinedine Zidane, a player he idolised as a youngster.

Hazard dropped a cheeky hint that he could be tempted to stay on during Chelsea's awards night on Friday evening as he jokingly replied 'where's the pen?' when a supporter urged him to sign a new contract.

It was a clean sweep for Hazard on the night as he won Chelsea's Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year and Goal of the Season and the club will be doing everything in their power to prevent him from jetting off to the Spanish capital in the coming months.

Despite Hazard sitting on the bench for the Blues' final match of the season away to Leicester, a group of supporters unfurled a banner calling for the Belgium superstar to reject a switch to the Bernabeu ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

It said: 'Eden Hazard bleeds blue. Chelsea is your home.'

A chorus of 'Eden Hazard, we want you to say' could also be heard in the away end at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Maurizio Sarri has admitted he will be unable to keep Hazard at Stamford Bridge if the Belgian has his heart set on joining Madrid.

'I don't know. If Hazard is thinking that the history here is finished, then in his mind it is finished,' Sarri said.

'I can try to speak to him but it is not easy. It's not easy because of course, I want Hazard, but I want Hazard with a very high level of motivation.

'As you know you have to ask the club because I am not in control of the market.

'I am not in charge of the renewal of the contract so I am not able to answer. I can only speak to the player but like a father, not like a manager.

'Also if I speak to him, I will not tell you anything. It's a discussion between a father and a son.'
