Champions League: How Joseph Yobo described Cristiano Ronaldo after Juventus 1-1 draw with Ajax

Former Super Eagles international, Joseph Yobo, has hailed Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo's performance in their Champion League quarter final 1-1 draw against Ajax on Wednesday night.

Ronaldo scored a header in the 45th minute to give the Italians the lead in their Champions League clash against Ajax on Wednesday.

The goal was, however, cancelled out by David Neres 30 seconds after the restart.

Yobo, who spoke on SuperSport, lavished praise on the two goalscorers, admitting that Ronaldo is getting fitter despite his age.

"I played against him when I was in the Premier League and he's got a very good leap, his timing is unbelievable," Yobo said.

"At his age, he's getting fitter. For him to run 30-40 yards with that high speed and getting the contact, a powerful header, give everything to him. He is a great athlete."

On Ajax's Neres, Yobo said, "You can see a long ball from the left back. The Juventus defender could have sent it back, safety first, but he tried to control the ball.

"Credit to this young lad David Neres, individual play, that's a brilliant goal. He is one to look out for, he has scored 6 in his last seven appearances.

"He scored tonight, scored against Real Madrid at the Bernabéu, this is his second goal in the Champions League and I think that is incredible. "
