Juventus superstar who was diagnosed with terrible heart problem returns to training

Juventus star Sami Khedira has been cleared to join the rest of his teammates in training after heart scare.

The German midfielder was withdrawn from the Old Lady's Champions League round of 16 first leg clash against Atletico Madrid after detecting his heart was beating irregularly.

After diagnosis, the 31-year-old was expected to be sidelined for at least one month, but the Turin based side have announced the early return of their midfielder on Thursday.

The club further stated that Khedira will resume full training, which includes high-intensity and physical activities.

"Sami Khedira, who underwent an electrophysiological study and an ablation of his atrial arrhythmogenic system on February 20, has passed cardiology tests and can resume normal and intense sporting activity ," a brief statement by the club as quoted by Goal.

This development will excite the German, who seems to have escaped dizziness, shortness of breath and tiredness as a result of irregular heartbeat.

While the Italian League giants will be pleased to hear the that the player is fit enough to start training again.

Also, apart from the heart issues, Khedira has been ruled out with muscular problems, an ankle injury since the start of this season - and this has limited the player's appearances to just 15 in all competitions.

Meanwhile, during his absence, the Serie A champions suffered their first league defeat, but staged a dramatic come back against Atletico in the UCL despite losing the first leg of their tie.

Max Allegri's men are also out of the Coppa Italia having suffered a 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in January, a game in which Khedira featured.

The midfielder has made 124 appearances with 21 goals in four seasons at the Allianz Stadium, following his move from Real Madrid in 2015.

He has previously played for Bundesliga side Stuttgart, however, it is unsure if he will be available for selection when Juve battle Empoli on March 30.

But his experience could prove vital in the coming weeks as they prepare for their quarter-final Champions League clash against Ajax.
