Another WWE legend passes on at 60 after long battle with illness

WWE legend and wrestling manager Wally Yamaguchi-San has passed away aged 60 after enduring series of illnesses.

During the WWE 'Attitude Era', Yamaguchi-San was Kaientai's manager and also a major pioneer in the Japanese wrestling industry.

Yamaguchi suffered stroke in December 2017 and since battled an undisclosed condition and his most infamous moment came when he appeared to chop of Val Venis' manhood with a giant sword.

Sean Waltman, better known as X-Pac said on Twitter :

"Wally Yamaguchi was the 1st person to book me in Japan for Universal Pro when I was 19.

"He was my friend & I'm really sad to learn of his passing."

Wrestler Al Snow wrote on Instagram: "I've lost another dear friend RIP Wally Yamaguchi.

"My thoughts and heartfelt condolences to his family and friends around the world. I will always be in your debt."

Wrestle 1's Jimmy Suzuki wrote: "My best friend Wally Yamaguchi (Yamaguchi San) passed away.

"He had stroke about one year ago. Had heart problem as well and he was on bed for about one year.

"I'll have my show on March 13 as TCW Wally Yamaguchi Memorial Show. R.I.P."
