Gareth Bale gets brutal nickname from Real Madrid teammates because of his attitude

Gareth Bale has been given a brutal nickname 'Martian' by his Real Madrid teammates because of his recent unusual attitude at the Spanish club.

It now appears that his teammates are turning their backs against the former Spurs' forward after refusing to celebrate his goal against Levante with them.

Last Sunday which was February 24, Real Madrid defeated Levante 2-1 in tough Spanish La Liga encounter in which Gareth Bale scored the winner for the reigning European League champions.

Bale however refused to celebrate his goal and even ignored Lucas Vazquez who wanted to celebrate with him before snubbing handshakes from other teammates.

Bale is said to be unhappy at his current lack of playing time having again started on the bench and scored just four minutes after coming on against Levante.

But his action has not gone down well with his teammates with Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda claiming he has adopted the nickname 'Martian'.

The journalist according to Daily Star explained that Gareth Bale was attacked by his teammates in the dressing room with some calling for him to be punished.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is also said to have expressed his annoyance openly to Gareth Bale for what he did after the win over Levante.

Los Blancos are currently occupying third position on the Spanish La Liga standings with 48 points after 25 games played this season.
