Mbappe reveals why PSG defeated Man Utd 2-0

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, has said he and his team-mates overcame fear, to beat Manchester United 2-0 in the first leg of their round of 16 tie in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Ligue 1 champions were without Neymar and Edinson Cavani, but put up a fine away performance, to give themselves a chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals.

Mbappe's second goal after Presnel Kimpembe's opener gave the visitors a deserving victory against the hosts.

The Frenchman, however, feels that Thomas Tuchel's men did their talking on the Old Trafford pitch.

"It is good, we are happy," Mbappe told Sky Sports after the match before adding that "it is only half-time, though.

"We must stop feeling fearful - people must stop being scared. Football is played on a pitch. Of course, Neymar and Edinson are important, but so too is what happens on the ground and we showed that here.

"I am a little disappointed as I had the chance to score a third. I think that it is over at 3-0."
