Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has admitted that the duo of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo won't play their best if their coaches should give them strict instructions.
These two players are arguably known as the best football stars for the past nine years considering their achievements while playing for their clubs.
The Red Devils were not impressive under Jose Mourinho which forced the club's board to throw him out in which reports claimed that some players were not happy under the Portuguese.
Rooney has now explained that even the world best players will struggle under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
"I think if you take Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and tell them you have to play here, you have to do this, you have to that, they aren't going to be the same players," Rooney told ESPN.
Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who replaced Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford has been impressive since he came on board winning all his first six games.
