UEFA ban Bayern Munich star for Champions League games against LiverpoolLiverpool

German club Bayern Munich have been hit with a severe blow by UEFA who has banned their superstar Thomas Muller from playing Champions League next two games for the club.

The latest development will be a good news for Premier League giants Liverpool who will face Bayern Munich in the 2018/19 Champions League round of 16 ties.

Thomas Muller suffered the consequence of his horror challenge on Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico which also made the referee to send him out in the encounter.

Bayern insisted that the horror clash was accidental with Muller stretching for the ball without knowing Tagliafico was there until it was too late.

But the Champions League governing body rubbished Bayern Munich's claims and gave Thomas Muller two-match ban.

Bayern Munich are now expected to miss the service of Thomas Muller against Liverpool who reached the final of last season's Champions League.

Thomas Muller has scored incredible 12 goals in the Champions League's round of 16 trailing only Lionel Messi (24) and Cristiano Ronaldo (20).
