Man United star Paul Pogba emerges winner of 1 prestigious award

Paul Pogba has being crowned Manchester United's player of the month for December 2018 for his impressive performance since the exit of former club boss Jose Mourinho.

According to a UK Daily Mail report, the Frenchman endured a crisis-stricken campaign under the Portuguese, who was fired as United boss after Liverpool's 3-1 bashing on December 16 at Anfield.

Although, the World Cup winner played no role during the defeat by the Reds, he was handed a starting shirt in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first game as interim manager.

And Pogba has since continued to improve in every game as Man United claimed five consecutive wins across all domestic competition.

Interestingly, during Tuesday's training session at United's warm weather training base in Dubai, Pogba was honoured as the club's player of the month of December 2018 after receiving his prestigious award.

Speaking moments before the presentation of the monthly award, club boss Solskjaer explained the reason why the Frenchman, who did not play against Reading in their 2-0 win failed to arrive Dubai with other squad members.

"Paul has had his knock and has had a few days of treatment back home.

"Hopefully, we can get Paul on his feet during this week," noted the Norwegian, who further revealed latest news concerning Fred and Marcos Rojo ahead of Tottenham showdown at Wembley.

"Marcos Rojo has gone back home because his injury is taking a bit longer than we thought.

"Fred's partner is expecting a baby," he summed up.
