Chelsea reject Bayern Munich's £13.5 million bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi

Bayern Munich have offered Chelsea £13.5 million plus add-ons for Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to Sky Sports.

Chelsea are open to selling the 18-year-old, but only for a fee of around £22 million with the option to insert a buy-back clause in any potential deal with Bayern.

While it's unsure whether anything will materialize in the upcoming transfer window, Hudson-Odoi's contract expires in 2020 and the Blues do not want to allow him to eventually leave on a free.

The forward is the latest English player who is attracting the attention from Germany's top clubs, with Jadon Sancho already at Borussia Dortmund and Reiss Nelson at Hoffenheim.

And it's not just Bayern who are said to be monitoring the progress of the Chelsea academy prospect, with Dortmund also keeping tabs on his progression.

Hudson-Odoi is said to be keeping an open mind on a potential move, with Sancho's outstanding progress at Dortmund something that could persuade him to move to Germany.

The forward has only managed one substitute appearance for the Blues in the Premier League this season, and a move to the Bundesliga could offer more first team opportunities.

He has, however, played in four Europa League games under Maurizio Sarri and has been exposed to European football.

Chelsea's next game is against Crystal Palace on Sunday, where Hudson-Odoi may feature following on from his solid Premier League debut on Boxing Day.
