Keown blames two Arsenal players in 5-1 defeat to Liverpool

Arsenal legend, Martin Keown, has blamed his former club's players, Lichtsteiner Stephan and Sokratis following the Gunners' 5-1 thumping by Liverpool in the Premier League encounter on Saturday.

He also named defender, Hector Bellerin as the player Arsenal missed.

Three goals from Roberto Firmino, a goal from Sadio Mane and a strike from Mohamed Salah gave Jurgen Klopp's side all three points against Arsenal.

However, Ainsley Maitland-Niles did score a goal for Unai Emery's side as Liverpool defeat the visitors at Anfield.

Keown blamed Lichtsteiner and Sokratis for their poor defending against the Reds.

"It's panic defending, isn't it?" Keown said on BT Sport.

"I think [Hector] Bellerin particularly is a player Arsenal missed today.

"Lichtsteiner here, they've come out from a set piece, now find your natural position.

"Lichtsteiner gets caught under the ball and should go wider to deal with it.

"That's where I want him, in that wide position, back to your right-back spot.

"Great ball you have to say, it's another quick ball across the goal, Arsenal then don't react to the second ball again.

"It's schoolboy defending. Sokratis there, wrong side once more and it's just a tap in." ide
