Ronaldo puts referee under pressure as Juventus goal against Roma was ruled out

Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to put the referee under pressure during their match against Roma by watching the VAR screen with him.

Douglas Costa had a late goal ruled ut by the VAR, with Ronaldo following the referee to the touchline to watch over his shoulder.

The Portuguese talisman provided the assist to the Brazilian as Juve thought they had eased Roma's pressure when the ball hit the back of the net.

But the technology showed Blaise Matuidi fouling a player in the build up to the strike as the goal was ruled out by the referee.

However, the Biaconeri went on to win the match courtesy of a first half goal from Mario Mandzukic to extend Juve's lead at Serie A to eight points ahead of Napoli.

Meanwhile, Juventus are continuing their pursuit of Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey when the January transfer window opens.

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also in the running to land the 27-year-old Welshman who has been told to leave the north London club.

Ramsey is a free agent next summer and will leave the Emirates after the club's contract offer was sensationally withdrawn.

Juventus are also chasing another Premier League outcast Romelu Lukaku as the Bianconeri believe the Manchester United striker could be a long-term replacement for Mario Mandzukic.
