Check out why Sergio Ramos was booed by fans in Club World Cup final

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos was booed by fans on Saturday, December 22, during his side victory over United Arab Emirates club Al Ain in the final of the Club World Cup.

The football supporters at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi were livid seeing the Spanish football star on the pitch and had to boo him.

It has now been revealed that the fans inside the stadium are still angry with the role Sergio Ramos played in Mohamed Salah's injury in the final of the 2017/18 Champions League.

The Liverpool striker sustained an injury after a challenge from Sergio Ramos and was unable to continue the match as his side went on to lose against Real Madrid.

Every time Ramos touched or got near the ball, fans would immediately whistle and jeer him, a reminder of what happened in Kiev hasn't yet been forgotten.

Salah according to Marca is considered to be an icon in Arabian football, and fans were sad with how he was injured via a challenge from Sergio Ramos in Kiev.

But the boo did not affect Sergio Ramos that much as he went on to lift the Club World Cup title for the third time in his career.
