Mohammed Salah urged by Egypt boss to quit Liverpool for 1 important reason

Egypt national team coach Javier Aguirre has urged Mohamed Salah to dump Liverpool if the Premier League club fail to win titles this season.

The 26-year-old has been phenomenon since he joined the Anfield side - scoring 44 goals in all competitions for the Reds.

He was also crowned the PFA player of the year following his impressive performance in his debut season for the club.

SunSport however reports that Salah's national team handler wants him to join title winning side if they go trophy-less at the end of this term.

Jurgen Klopp's men are yet to win silverware since their last triumph in 2012 when they won the League Cup.

"It may be better for him to leave within a season or two if Liverpool doesn't win any titles," Aguirre said.

Salah has netted eight goals and created six assists in all competitions for Liverpool this season to help his side remain unbeaten in the EPL.

They are currently second on the table with 30 points from 12 matches - two points behind rivals Man City.

Meanwhile, they face qualification battle in the Champions League along with Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli.

Klopp's men suffered a disappointing defeat against Red Star in their last outing which leaves them in a precarious position with just two points separating the four teams.

Liverpool still have to play both PSG and Napoli knowing an early exit from the group could leave Europe's biggest clubs sniffing around for their best players.
