Bayern Munich star slaps journalist following Bundesliga loss to Borussia Dortmund

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery slapped a journalist, Patrick Guillou, three times after the blockbuster match with Borussia Dortmund.

Several witnesses at the scene of the incident have confirmed the violent altercation immediately after the Bavarians lost by 3-2.

Guillou who is an expert on beIN Sports, asked Ribery for a statement concerning the game as the Frenchman reacted violently as he got hit three times across the face and shoved him away.

Guillo, who also worked as assistant coach of Willy Sagnol had allegedly blamed the former France international for two of Dortmund's goal.

French legend Jean-Pierre Papin and Bayern defender Rafinha quickly broke up the scuffle as Ribery boarded the team bus.

Ribery reported the incident to the club as both parties involved refused to brief the press but Bayern Munich's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic responded to Bild's request.

The statement reads: "Franck Ribery informed us that he had an altercation with his countryman Patrick Guillou, whom he has known well for many years. We agreed with Patrick Guillou on Saturday evening that we would soon discuss in a personally meeting how we would put this affair to rest. Mr. Guillou has already indicated that this is also in his interest."
