Incredible Cristiano Ronaldo equals over 6 decades record in the Serie A

Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice last weekend to help Juventus beat Empoli 2-1 in their Serie A clash.
The goal marked his seventh Italian topflight goal since his mega move from Real Madrid in the summer.
However, his second from their last match helped him equal a standing record which has stood for over six decades.
The former Manchester United star became the first striker to score seven goals from ten matches - a record which was set during the 1957/ 1958 season when John Charles achieved it.

When one considers the magnificent strikers Juventus could call on over the years, the milestone is even more impressive.
Gonzalo Higuain, Filippo Inzaghi and Carlos Tevez came closest with 6 goals from their opening 10 appearances.
At this rate, Ronaldo is surely eyeing the golden boot. However, the league's top scorer is Genoa's Krzysztof Piatek, with 9 goals.
