Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has showered encomiums on Italian League giants Inter Milan ahead of their Wednesday's Champions League clash at the Camp Nou.
Both teams are tied with six points on Group B table having won their first two meetings in the tourney.
A win for either side will determine which of the teams will stay atop of the table after three round of matches.
Barcelona returned to winning ways over the weekend after beating Sevilla 4-2 to return to the summit of the table.
And they will hope to build on their performance when they battle the Italian side later this evening.
Meanwhile, the hosts will be without their talisman Lionel Messi, who broke his arm in that match over the weekend.
"Inter are a formation of character, a team that tries to play the match and are in a moment of incredible form . Valverde told Sky Sport.
"Icardi? He is a great player, the most important of Inter, he is proving it, he is a striker who creates vital networks .
"We can not know anything about the future: he is now playing for a rival, nothing else. Messi? We are a team, we can make up for his absence. "
