Why French legend Zinedine Zidane quit Real Madrid in the summer

French legend Zinedine Zidane has revealed he quit Real Madrid because of broken promises over Gareth Bale's future, Mirror quoting El Pais.
The 45-year-old resigned as manager barely days after winning his third successive Champions League title in Kiev.
Bale scored an acrobatic effort to restore Los Blancos lead against Liverpool in last season's Champions League final and this led to the trouble between Zidane and Florentino Perez.

According to Spanish news media outlet El Pais, the goal made Real Madrid president go back on his words about selling the Welshman, something Zidane had wanted since the end of the domestic season.
But Perez suggested the former Tottenhman man was better than Ronaldo forcing the Frenchman to quit the club.
Zidane wanted to sell Bale to purchase Mohamed Salah, Eden Hazard, or Harry Kane which Perez agreed until Bale's stunning overhead kick in the final.
