American WBC heavyweight champion who is Anthony Joshua's rival reveals he has Nigerian roots

American WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has revealed that he has Nigerian roots as he prepares for his bout against British pugilist Tyson Fury.
The 39-year-old popularly referred to as the Bronze Bomber will be defending his title against the Briton on December 1.
Wilder made the revelation during a round-table face off with Fury as they both look forward to their bout at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
The American will hope to stretch his winning streak to 41 bouts having won his last 40 professional fights- with 39 of them decided by knockouts.

He defeated Abdelaziz Touilbini of Algeria and Mohamed Arjaoui of Morocco but lost to Clemente Russo of Italy in the semi-final to win bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Fury on the other hand has also been able to keep his slate clean after going 27 fights without a defeat.

He won 17 of those fights with knockouts and will be hoping to use this fight to re-announce himself back to the big stage.
