Fans call for Manchester United star's to be banned after nasty tackle on Newcastle defender

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was lucky to escape being red carded after his nasty tackle on De Andre Yedlin was awarded a yellow.
The 25-year-old was cautioned for his challenge on the Newcastle defender, but it could have added salt to his wounds if a red card was shown.
The Frenchman raked his studs down the back of the American's achilles, leaving him on the floor writhing in pains.

The officiating referee Anthony Taylor booked the Red Devils midfielder in the 63rd minute while United were still trailing by 2-0 at Old Trafford.

Fans on social media had a contrary opinion on the referee's booking on Pogba, with some calling for a ban.
One fan wrote: "Pogba should get a ban for that tackle, and any other player that does that. Stood right on his Achilles, a potential career-ender. Surely has to be more than a yellow card."
Another social media post read: "That foul from Pogba on Yedlin, I think those should be a straight Red card. Deliberate foul. No intention or even chance of winning the ball."
The World Cup winner was drafted into the central defence in the second half as United were in search of restoring the two-goal deficit.
