Spanish League champions Barcelona line up surprise move for Liverpool superstar

Spanish League giants Barcelona are reportedly plotting a surprise move for Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino.

The La Liga champions have been struggling in front of goal this season having failed to record a win in their last three matches in the league.
They suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost 2-1 to Girona away from home while Athletic Bilbao forced them to 1-1 draw at the Camp Nou over the weekend.

Daily Star however reports that Barca are trying to sign the Brazil forward as a replacement for ageing Luis Suarez.
The Uruguay star has scored three goals and created two assists this season but his goal tally has been on the decline since he scored an incredible 59 goals in the 2015/16 season.

Suarez, who will clock 32 in January has a contract with his present club until the summer of 2021.

Meanwhile, the Spanish League side will have issues signing the Brazil star as he has been superb for the Anfield side this term.

According to Don Balon, known for their outlandish transfer news, Barca see the Brazilian as the perfect foil for the former Ajax forward.
After two outstanding seasons on Merseyside, Firmino could be set to follow the same path as his compatriot Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona sealed the deal of the attacker in January 2018 in a deal valued at £142 million, and Firmino might follow the steps of his former teammate to Camp Nou.
