Belgium star becomes Man United's 4th highest paid player with £150k-a-week after tax

Belgium international Marouane Fellaini has become one of the highest paid Manchester United stars.
He signed a new two year deal with the Red Devils after the 2018 World Cup where he won bronze after helping his side to beat England in the third place match.
His new deal will now see him earn a staggering £150,000-a-week after tax according to the SunSport.

Fellaini initially threatened to quit the Old Trafford side following his lack of enough playing time but the club persuaded him to extend his stay.

The 30-year-old's new contract with the club will now expire in the summer of 2020, as Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba are the only players that earn more than him after HMRC take their cut.
Spain goalkeeper David De Gea currently earns around £200,000-a-week, but even he is eclipsed by Fellaini after tax.

A United source said: "Marouane rejected numerous offers during the last six months. It really did look like he was off before the club came back with one last try .
"It worked in the end. Fair play to him, he dragged it out and knew the manager still wanted to retain him. He has held his nerve .
"Even so, a few couldn't believe it when they heard how much he was clearing. It has put a few backs up around the place. "

Fellaini was close to dumping United this summer with clubs like AC Milan and Galatasaray in Turkey on the queue.
The ex-Everton ace is on a higher basic wage than before and his tax is covered off, equating to around £7m-per-year net.
