Virgil van Dijk was forced off with an apparent rib injury during Liverpool's Premier League clash with Southampton.
The Dutchman left the field holding his rib in the 54th minute with the Reds winning 3-0against his former club.
He initially went down to receive treatment but departed on his feet to be replaced by Joe Gomez.
van Dijk was later seen on the Liverpool bench in no apparent discomfort and fans will be hoping it's nothing serious.
The world's most expensive defender has been key to the club's early season success and would no doubt be a huge loss if he were to be sidelined with injury.
