Paul Pogba has informed Manchester United he wants to leave so he can return to Juventus, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

The Frenchman enjoyed a brilliant summer under the management of Didier Deschamps, where he played a pivotal role in France winning the World Cup in Russia.

Now, as club football returns, the 25-year-old is eyeing a return to Turin to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

Marca are reporting Pogba has informed the Red Devils he wants to leave the club via his agent Mino Raiola despite only being at the club for two full seasons.

The latest Spanish report also reinforces previous news stories originating from Italy, where they also reported Pogba is seeking a return to Juventus.

The midfielder has already spent four seasons at Juventus where he played 178 times for club, winning the Serie A title four times.

But now he wants to return to a style of football which suits his game more and escape Jose Mourinho's tactics which he feels restricts his game.

Raiola has reportedly been seeking an exit door for the last month and is said to have contacted Barcelona as well for a way out.

However, discussions with Barcelona broke down and Juventus are still seen as the preferred destination.

The transfer window closes on August 9, and whether Pogba will be a United player beyond that date remains to be seen.
