With the Portugal captain completing a £99.2 million move to Juventus, Bale looks set to enjoy his time in the limelight having been in Ronaldo's shadow for five years.

Bale admitted his future may lie away from the Bernabeu after Real's Champions League victory over Liverpool back in May.

Scoring twice off the bench in Kiev, Bale put himself in an excellent bargaining position.

But then Zinedine Zidane sensationally left his post as Los Blancos boss just days later, with former Spain boss Julen Lopetegui announced as a success.

As a result, Bale looks set to try and cement himself in the first team and has already met with Lopetegui.

The 29-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United since 2013, the same summer in which he left Tottenham Hotspur for the LaLiga side.

However, the move has never progressed further than just talks and now seems improbable given Lopetegui wants to use him more frequently.

The reigning Champions League holders continue to be linked with Chelsea forward Eden Hazard, who admitted his time at Stamford Bridge could be up.
