Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan named Jorginho as one of his toughest ever opponents.

The Napoli midfielder is closing in on a transfer to Chelsea and is on his way from Italy to London to finalise the deal.

Chelsea are set to pay £57million for Jorginho in a joint deal that will also see Maurizio Sarri join the Londoners as their new head coach.

Nainggolan was asked a year ago who he rated as Serie A's most difficult opponent and the Belgian named Jorginho.

'My toughest opponent? I'd say Jorginho,' he said.

'He always plays in small spaces, with one-metre passes. It's difficult to keep up with him or to try to cut out his passes.

'You get very tired because he distributes the ball very quickly yet he remains practically still.'

Nainggolan's comment will excite Chelsea fans, regardless of the fact they are now a year old.

While Chelsea supporters will be thrilled by Nainggolan's assessment of Jorginho, Manchester City fans might be licking their wounds until the end of the summer.

City were set to land Jorginho and had agreed a fee with Napoli, before Chelsea hijacked the deal.

Jorginho prefers living in London over Manchester and will reject the advances of Pep Guardiola to join Chelsea.

Guardiola made Jorginho his top target this summer and the Spaniard will be bitterly disappointed to see the Italian link up with a direct rival instead.
