Real Madrid sign another top young star as £35m deal for Spain international Alvaro Odriozola confirmed

Alvaro Odriozola was part of the Spain squad at the World Cup.

A statement from the Spanish giants read: "Real Madrid and Real Sociedad have agreed to the transfer of the player Alvaro Odriozola, pending the medical examination, and the player remains linked to the club for the next six seasons."

Odriozola made 50 appearances for Real Sociedad, after breaking into their first team in 2016/17.

He was named in the Spain squad for the 2018 World Cup by Julen Lopetegui, who dramatically left his post on the eve of the tournament after agreeing a deal to take charge of Real Madrid, but did not feature in any of the four games games played by La Roja.

Odriozola will now link up with Lopetegui once more at the Bernabeu, becoming the third young star to move to Real this summer.

Santos' 17-year-old sensation Rodrygo has joined the club in a £40million deal, although he will not head to Madrid until 2019.

Andriy Lunin, a 19-year-old Ukrainian goalkeeper, has also joined from Zorya Luhansk for a fee of around £12m.
