Talks between the Portuguese and the LaLiga giants for a new deal have stalled and exit rumours have been fuelled by stories of his buyout clause being slashed from £884million to £100million.

The possibility of a move happening has also been strengthened as his agent Jorge Mendes has ended a decade-long feud with the Juve top brass.

Italian media has claimed Mendes recently negotiated a deal to take Joao Cancelo to Turin from Valencia after the defender was on loan at Inter.

And although Juventus have won the Serie A title for the last seven years, the Old Lady are looking to expand their squad as they seek their first Champions League title in 23 years.

The acquisition of Ronaldo, whose World Cup dreams were shattered following Portugal's loss to Uruguay, would be a huge statement of intent by Juventus.

They have already secured the signings of Emre Can from Liverpool, as well as capturing Douglas Costa on a permananent deal from Bayern Munich.

Juventus are also reportedly after Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
