Marco Asensio has no intention of leaving Real Madrid to join Liverpool - or any other club - following recent speculation over his future in the Spanish capital.

Liverpool have been following the Spain international's rapid progress for a number of years and according to Marca have prepared a staggering offer of £158m to try and prise the 22-year-old away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Some reports have also suggested Real may be prepared to cash in on the forward if it can help fund their ambitious attempts to bring Neymar back to Spain just one year after joining Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona.

However, a latest report from AS now insists neither Los Blancos nor Asensio will listen to offers, claiming he 'only has eyes for Real'.

The Spaniard, who has made two appearances off the bench for his country at the World Cup, appeared to fuel suggestions his future at Real was uncertain when quizzed on Liverpool's reported interest from La Roja's training camp in Russia.

'Liverpool? When the World Cup is over, we'll talk about that sort of thing. Now I am focused on selection,' he said.

AS stress however Asensio's intention was in no way to leave the door open to a potential move, but rather to keep the focus on Spain's World Cup campaign - which continues against hosts Russia in the last 16 stage on Sunday.

The former Mollorca youngster is hoping to force his way into Fernando Hierro's starting XI for that fixture off the back of another poor display from La Roja against Morocco.

A number of first-team regulars have seen their places in the side come under question in the wake of that 2-2 draw with reports in Spain suggesting Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea could be droppedand replaced by Athletic Bilbao's Kepa.
