Pep Guardiola wants Real Madrid star Isco in £70 million deal - reports

Manchester City will test Real Madrid's resolve to keep Isco this summer with a £70 million bid.

That is according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, who claim Pep Guardiola wants to sign the attacking midfielder.

Real Madrid are reportedly potentially open to selling the Spain international this summer if the price is right.

Manchester City would be willing to offer £70 million for Isco, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past - the club he faces on Saturday in the Champions League Final.

City would also be able to offer Isco a significant hike in wages that would make him one of the top earners at the club.

It would come as a bit of a shock to see Isco leave the club, considering the contrasting reports that came out about the midfielder's future last month.

The Citizens were reportedly keen on switching their attention to Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez, a player they almost signed in the January window.

The 26-year-old has scored eight goals this season and has also recorded nine assists in all competitions.
