The agent of Jean-Michael Seri has spoken out about his client's future as Arsenal and Chelsea battle to sign the Ivory Coast international.

Seri, 26, has developed into one of Nice's stand-out players since signing from Portuguese outfit Pacos de Ferreira in 2015.

His performances in Ligue 1 have caught the attention of a number of European clubs and London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are both keen to secure his signature this summer.

Reports on Wednesday claimed Unai Emery, Arsenal's new manager, wants to make Seri his first signing for the Gunners with a £35million move.

But Chelsea, who won the FA Cup earlier in the month, are also in the hunt and are said to be preparing a move for the 26-year-old.

Serie A side Napoli are the latest club to express interest in Seri and the player's agent has now discussed speculation over his future.

'It's true that there are possibilities in England, so we'll see,' he told Sport Witness.

'But [new Napoli manager] Carlo Ancelotti has a strong image and is very respected by the players he's managed, which can be a decisive factor for Seri.

'Basically, he works via his emotions. He'll go where he's most desired, so if you really want him and you're welcoming...

'Because Napoli play nice football, and over the years they've become a bigger club, so he's going to listen very carefully.'
