Jose Mourinho eyes up moves for either Mario Mandzukic or Marko Arnautovic - reports

Manchester United are keeping tabs on Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic and West Ham United striker Marko Arnautovic ahead of potential summer moves, according to reports.

Jose Mourinho looks set to complete the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred imminently, with the Manchester Evening News reporting a deal could be completed by next week.

Alongside Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, the Red Devils would certainly be bolstering their midfield options.

However, one area they are not short on is up top - but Mourinho is reportedly still not happy.

According to respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, United want to add more physicality up front and are exploring the possibility of a move for Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic.

However, the report goes on to claim that should they fail, they will switch their attention to West Ham United striker Arnautovic.

Mandzukic, a Croatia international, managed 10 goals in all competitions as helped the Old Lady secure another Serie A title.

But, at 32-years-old, there are doubts over whether or not he can cope with the demands of the Premier League.

However, Arnautovic has established himself as a Premier League danger man with his exploits with both the Hammers and Stoke City.

After a shaky start to his career in east London last season, the Austria international enjoyed a scintillating run of form - finishing the season with 11 goals as the club's top scorer.
