Real Madrid Star Tells Zidane He Will Leave If Hazard Joins The Club

Marco Asensio has threatened to quit Real Madrid if the club goes ahead to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea at the end of the ongoing European league season.

The 27-year-old has been a major target for coach Zinedine Zidane who has openly acknowledge his admiration for the Belgian attacker.

Hazard, who joined the Blues in 2012, has a running contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit until the summer of 2020, and all efforts to get him to extend contract with the Premier League champions so far has proven fruitless.

Also, the player has expressed his displeasure with his manager, Antonio Conte over his tactical formation that allowed him struggle in their slim defeat to Manchester City on Sunday, March 4.

With the Spanish League outfit going all out to sign the winger this summer, Spanish news outlet Don Balon reports that the Belgium international's arrival will see the Spanish midfielder leave the club for another destination.

According to Don Balon, the midfielder said earlier that his aim was to score many goals and win a lot of titles with Madrid, but that dream may not be achieved with the Eden Hazard's possible move to the Bernabeu this summer.

"I always try with everything I have left," Asensio said. "To reach the biggest club in the world where there are millions of fans and a lot of pressure was a brutal change. "My debut was in a final.

I was not nervous, I scored a goal and I won my first title. "In all my debuts I've always been able to score goals and I have come to Madrid to stay and score many goals."

Asensio broke into Zinedine Zidane's starting eleven this season, and has scored six goals in 23 appearances - 13 of them he played he was a substitute while the remaining 10 he played full games.

Baring all circumstances, he will be available for his side's away clash against Eibar this weekend, and will probably be hoping to increase his goal tally at the end of the game.

Earlier in the week, Real Madrid dispatched French Ligue 1 side, Paris Saint Germain 5-2 on aggregate to reach the quarterfinal of the UEFA Champions League tourney - where they are closer to winning the title third time on a row.

But they are still third on the table with 54 points from 27 league games - 15 points behind league leaders after the same number of games.
