Feud over? Neymar comforted by Edinson Cavani after missed chance against Bayern Munich

On a night where Kylian Mbappe dazzled the football world with a fantastic performance up against one of the best sides in the world, many eyes were drawn to Neymar and Edinson Cavani.

The Paris Saint-Germain pair clashed in front of the cameras when they argued about who should be taking penalties in a 2-0 win over Lyon.

It was an unsavory affair for the club as two of their biggest stars went toe-to-toe with one another.

Stories about a €1million pay-off for Cavani to give up his penalties privileges have kept the dispute running and fans were watching the interactions between Cavani and Neymar closely during the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.

It was a fantastic night for PSG who beat the German giants 3-0 with Mbappe starring and Cavani, Neymar and Dani Alves on the scoresheet.

Supporters were quick to speculate that the feud was still alive when Cavani grabbed PSG's second goal of the game.

Mbappe set up Cavani and as the Uruguayan peeled off in celebration, Neymar decided to celebrate with the Frenchman instead.

It was noticeable considering Neymar's excited reaction to Alves scoring the opener had the Brazilian bear hugging his team-mate.

The incident spark theories on social media the Cavani-Neymar feud was still in full swing, but a impromptu hug had supporters second guessing themselves.

Neymar missed a sitter at 2-0 and it was Cavani who comforted the attacker and encouraged him to forget about the chance.

The arm around Neymar suggests the feud is not quite as fiery as some people may think with the pair happily celebrating with another at the final whistle.

The win over Bayern was a huge result for PSG who are targeting making a big impression in the Champions League this season.

The French giants have never quite been able to break into Europe's elite clubs, but with the addition of Neymar and Mbappe, PSG are hopeful this will be their best campaign to date.

Neymar cost the club £198million from Barcelona, but has six assists and six goals in seven games for his new side.
