Real Madrid Put £157.5m Price Tag For Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid have made it clear they will not keep Cristiano Ronaldo at the club against his will and are reportedly prepared to sell him this summer.
This comes after Ronaldo has sent shockwaves through Europe following reports in Portugal that he has made an 'irreversible' decision to leave Spain in the wake of tax fraud allegations against him.

Ronaldo, 32, is said to be miffed over claims by authorities that he defrauded the Spanish taxman of €14.7million during his time at the capital, an allegation he has refuted.

Ronaldo is currently with the Portugal squad as they kick-start their Confederations Cup campaign on Sunday, but he looks set to dominate the headlines throughout the summer.

His decision to leave the European champions has alerted a number of top clubs across Europe, with former club Manchester United one of the early favourites to land his signature alongside French giants Paris Saint Germain, Mirror writes.

There are also speculations he could make a shock switch to the money-spinning Chinese Super League, although such a move runs at cross purposes with his ballon d'Or ambitions.

Amid the speculations, one of the leading newspapers in Spain has maintained that Los Blancos have already readied a 157.5m price tag to prise him out of his current deal.

The report said: "As in other cases, Real Madrid will not hold anyone against their will and the price will always mark the club and never the player."

Ronaldo reached a landmark 600 career goals this season, including a record 105 in the Champions League as Real dominated Europe once again.
