Deal Close: Arsenal Set To Complete Deal for Barcelona £30m Playmaker

Arsenal's move for Arda Turan has taken a big step forward, according to reports in Spain.

The Gunners have been chasing the Turkey international for some time and Barcelona are said to have given him permission to press forward with a switch to the Emirates.

According to El Desmarque, Arsenal have now agreed personal terms with the former Atletico Madrid man, who moved to the Camp Nou in 2015.

But the move has yet to be finalised as the two clubs have so far been unable to agree on a price for the 30-year-old.

Arsenal are believed to be offering £20 million, but the Spanish giants are holding out for closer to £30m - just short of the price they paid to sign Turan from Atletico.

The report states, however, that Wenger is confident of striking a deal for the playmaker, as Barcelona are keen to move him on this summer to help fund moves for some of their own transfer targets.

Turan scored 13 goals for Barcelona last season, he also chipped in with seven assists.

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger has revealed Why Sanchez & Ozil Won't Quit Arsenal This Summer.
