Rio 2016 Olympics: Etebo scores four as Dream Team VI fight off jetlag to beat Japan

The Dream Team VI began their 2016 Olympics with victory, after defeating Japan 5-4 on Friday morning.
Samson Siasia's men only arrived in Manaus, Brazil seven hours before their opening Group B fixture, because of travel issues, but put up an impressive performance to overcome the Asian champions.

Oghenekaro Etebo scored four goals for Nigeria, while AS Roma striker, Sadiq Umar, also got on the scoresheet.

The first half ended 3-2 in favour of the Africans, as they began to stamp their authority on the match.

In the second half, Etebo made it 4-2 from the penalty spot, after the outstanding Umar was brought down in the box. And in the 66th minute, the Portugal-based midfielder grabbed his fourth, capitalizing on a poor clearance.

Japan pulled two back through new Arsenal boy, Takuma Asano and Musashi Suzuki.

Nigeria play Sweden in their next game, while Japan take on Colombia. The match between Sweden and Colombia ended 2-2.
