Omeruo, Ndidi out of Siasia's Olympics team

The duo of Kenneth Omeruo and Wilfred Ndidi, will not play for Nigeria at next month's Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.
Omeruo will be unavailable, as he has not sorted out his contract issue with Chelsea, while Ndidi's club were not sure he will have an automatic shirt for the Dream Team VI.

"Omeruo wanted to play but he has not sorted his contract issue with Chelsea who has gotten a new Coach Antonio Conte," a reliable source told Goal.

"Wilfred issue is on his club coach wanting Siasia to make the player a starter in his team which Siasia believed was a mere excuse not to release the defender."

The source also added that coach Samson Siasia is yet to decide on his final squad for the competition.

"Coach Samson Siasia has not made any release concerning the Dream Team VI final 18 squad for the Rio Olympics in America," he continued.

"In fact he was sad to read the report on the online media. He has pleaded that sports reporters should wait for the appropriate quarters which is the Nigeria Football Federation to make the release."
