"Being Gay Is Not A Crime In Nigeria, The Detention Of Bobrisky Is Illegal" - Bisi Alimi.

Nigerian Gay activist, Bisi Alimi, in a new post on social media, has agitated for the release of Nigerian cross dresser, Bobrisky after his arrest yesterday in Lagos.

It was alleged that celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani accused him of stealing her cream and customers and thus, decided to put him to justice by having him arrested - this claim has since been denied by the stylist which leaves people thinking if maybe he was arrested because he came out as gay few days ago.

Bisi Alimi has now reacted to the saga saying his arrest is useless because being gay is not a crime in Nigeria.

He shared on social media:

The continuous detention of #bobrisky is illegal and unless the police state the basis for the arrest, Bobrisky should be released #freebobrisky
