WAEC postpones release of 2020 SSSCE results, reveals when results will be ready

The West African Examination Council, WAEC, has postponed the release of 2020 SSSCE results and has revealed when results will be released.

WAEC told her candidates who sat for the 2020 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination to expect the release of their results next week.

This announcement was made by the West African Examinations Council on its official Nigerian Twitter page today, October 28.

The results were supposed to be released today but the examination body said the postponement became unavoidable owing to the violence and arson in the country which affected some of its offices and operations across the country.

The unrest experienced in the aftermath of the #EndSARS protests against police brutality and bad governance had compelled governments to impose curfew in various states.

"WASSCE SC 2020 Results Release Date: Dear candidates, the Council had planned to release the results today in fulfilment of our Project 45 but due to the curfew imposed last week, it had to be postponed till next week.

The exact date will be made known soon," @waecnigeria tweeted on Wednesday.
